Skoot, the Skootly mascot

Hi! I'm Skoot 👋 What can I help you with?

🚀 Getting started

What is Skootly?

Skootly is a Chrome extension for Skool community owners and admins. It adds an “Approve all” button to your Skool membership requests and saves every new member's answers (and email, if you ask for one) to your own Google Sheet.

No copy-paste, no Zapier, no duplicates.

How do I install Skootly?
  1. Open Skootly's page on the Chrome Web Store and click Add to Chrome.
  2. Click the puzzle-piece icon in Chrome's toolbar and pin Skootly so the yellow “S” is always visible.
  3. A welcome page opens automatically and walks you through setup. It takes about a minute.

Skootly works in Google Chrome (and Chromium browsers like Edge and Brave) on a computer. It doesn't work on phones.

The 5 setup steps, explained

The welcome page guides you through these, one at a time:

  1. Sign in with Google, or with a 6-digit code sent to your email. No password needed.
  2. Agree to how Skootly handles data (in plain words; see Privacy).
  3. Start your plan: $97/month (see Billing).
  4. Connect Google Sheets: one click, and Skootly creates your sheet.
  5. Add your Skool community: open your community on Skool and click + Add this community in the yellow bar.

Closed the welcome page by accident? Click the Skootly icon → ✨ Finish setting up.

How do I connect Google Sheets?
  1. Click Connect Google Sheets (on the welcome page, in the Skootly icon, or in the yellow bar on Skool).
  2. Pick your Google account and click Allow.
  3. Skootly creates a sheet called “Skootly – Members” in your Google Drive with all the column headers ready.

Skootly can only open the sheet it creates for you. It can't see or change anything else in your Drive.

To find your sheet anytime: click the Skootly icon → the green 📊 Open my Google Sheet button.

How do I add my Skool community?
  1. Go to skool.com and open the community you own or admin.
  2. Skootly's yellow bar pops up: “I see you run …!” Click + Add this community.
  3. Click Open pending requests → and you're ready to approve.

The yellow bar only offers this on communities where you're an owner or admin. If it doesn't appear, click the Skootly icon and paste your community link (like skool.com/your-community) instead.

✨ Using Skootly

How does “Approve all” work?
  1. Open your community's pending requests: skool.com/your-community/-/pending (or click Requests → in the Skootly icon).
  2. In the yellow Skootly panel, click ✨ Approve all & save.
  3. For each person, Skootly saves their answers to your sheet first, then approves them. A progress bar shows “Approved 3 of 12”.

Click Stop anytime. Skootly paces itself (a second or two per person) so it's gentle on Skool.

If a save fails (for example your sheet was deleted), Skootly stops before approving that person, so nobody gets approved without being saved.

Can I approve only people who answered every question?

Yes. In the yellow panel, tick “Only people who answered every question” before clicking Approve all. Everyone else stays pending for you to review.

Does approving one person at a time still save their answers?

Yes! Click Skool's own APPROVE button like you always do. Skootly saves that person's answers to your sheet automatically. People you decline are never saved.

What goes into my Google Sheet?

One row per approved member, on the “Skootly” tab:

Captured At · Community · Member Name · Member Profile · Email · Question 1 · Answer 1 · Question 2 · Answer 2 · Question 3 · Answer 3 · Request Date · Skootly ID

If one of your membership questions asks for an email, Skootly also copies it into the Email column, ready for your email list or CRM.

Will refreshing the page create duplicate rows?

No. Each membership request is saved once, no matter how many times you refresh or approve. If someone is declined and later requests to join again, that's a new request, so they get a new row.

How do I move, shrink or hide the yellow bar?
  • Move it: drag the yellow bar anywhere. Skootly remembers where you put it.
  • Shrink it: click – to turn it into a small pill (tap the pill to open it again).
  • Hide it: click ×. Click the Skootly icon in your toolbar to bring it back.
  • Turn it off for good: click the Skootly icon and tick “Never show the floating Skootly bar”. (This option appears once setup is finished.)

Approvals still save even when the bar is hidden.

Can I use Skootly with more than one community?

Yes. Open each community you run and click + Add this community. Every row in your sheet includes the community name, so you always know where each member came from.

💳 Billing & account

How much does Skootly cost?

Skootly is $97/month. Cancel anytime. Subscribe from the Skootly icon, the welcome page, or your account page at app.skootly.com.

How do I update my card or see invoices?
  1. Go to app.skootly.com and sign in.
  2. In the Billing card, click Update payment method (or View invoices & manage plan).

You'll land on Stripe's secure billing page. Skootly never sees or stores your card number.

How do I cancel?

Go to app.skootly.com → Billing → View invoices & manage plan → Cancel plan. You keep access until the end of the month you've paid for. Your Google Sheet stays yours.

It says “Your Skootly access has ended”

That means your subscription was canceled or your last payment didn't go through. Click Sign back up in the Skootly icon to get access again.

If your card was declined, update it at app.skootly.com → Billing → Update payment method.

How do I sign in? Is there a password?

No password. Sign in with Continue with Google, or type your email and enter the 6-digit code we send you. Both lead to the same account if the email is the same.

Tip: use the same email every time. A different email creates a separate Skootly account.

🛟 Troubleshooting

I didn't get my 6-digit sign-in code
  • Check your spam or promotions folder for an email from Skootly.
  • Codes expire after 10 minutes, and only the newest code works. Request a new one if needed.
  • Still nothing? Use Continue with Google instead, or email us.
I don't see the yellow Skootly bar on Skool
  1. Make sure you're on your community's pending requests page: skool.com/your-community/-/pending.
  2. Refresh the page (Skootly loads when the page loads).
  3. If you hid it with ×, click the Skootly icon in your toolbar to bring it back, and check that “Never show the floating Skootly bar” isn't ticked.
Members aren't showing up in my sheet
  • Look at the “Skootly” tab at the bottom of your sheet, not “Sheet1”.
  • Click the Skootly icon and check every setup step has a ✓, especially Agree and Google Sheet.
  • If you deleted or renamed the sheet or its “Skootly” tab, click the Skootly icon to connect a new one.
  • Still stuck? Click the Skootly icon → Having trouble? → Check this Skool page, and send us what it says.
Google says “Access blocked” or “This app isn't verified”

Please email us with a screenshot. We'll sort it out quickly. In the meantime you can sign in with an email code instead of Google.

Skootly reads the wrong name or answers

Skool occasionally updates its pages. If Skootly reads something wrong:

  1. Open your pending requests page on Skool.
  2. Click the Skootly icon → Having trouble? → Copy page snapshot (no personal info).
  3. Email it to us. It contains only the page's layout, with names, emails and answers blanked out.

We usually fix these fast. Thanks for helping!

🔒 Privacy & data

What data does Skootly read and save?
  • 📖 On skool.com, Skootly reads the membership requests page you open: each person's name, profile link and answers to your membership questions.
  • 📊 When you approve someone, those answers (and an email, if they typed one) are saved to your own Google Sheet.
  • 🗑️ Answers pass through Skootly's server only to reach your sheet, then they're deleted. We never sell data.

Full details: Privacy policy · Terms

Is Skootly made by Skool?

No. Skootly is made by GroupConvert (Kim C. Dang LLC) and isn't affiliated with or endorsed by Skool. You approve members on Skool exactly as you normally would. Skootly just does the clicking and the typing for you.

How do I delete my account?

Email us from the email you use with Skootly and we'll delete your account and data. Your Google Sheet stays in your Drive. It's yours.
